Breakfast with a Champion

Allergan Foundation

The Breakfast with a Champion, presented by The Allergan Foundation, has become a nostalgic staple of the Toshiba Classic tournament week.  The 2014 event will be held Tuesday, March 11 at 7 a.m. at the Balboa Bay Resort.

This year as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Toshiba Classic, we have the privilege of hosting Mr. Nishida, the chairman of Toshiba Corporation and the tournament's founder in 1995.  During this year's breakfast we will honor Mr. Nishida and invite you to be a part of this special occasion.

The 2014 breakfast will feature 2010 European Ryder Cup Captain and PGA Champions Tour rookie, Colin Montgomerie.  Born on June 23, 1963 in Glasgow Scotland, Colin was raised in Yorkshire, England and became one of his generations most recognizable and endearing sports stars and is a true statesman of golf. Over the last two decades Colin has emerged as the undisputed leading European golfer. Colin, known affectionately to millions around the world as "Monty", is one of Britain's most admired sportsmen.

"Fostering the growth of Orange County's community is something The Allergan Foundation is quite proud to be associated with, and we value the relationships we've built with Hoag Hospital Foundation and Toshiba to make this breakfast happen," said Jim Hindman, president of The Allergan Foundation.  "Not only is it a remarkable event to learn about golf's great athletes, but also an opportunity to give back to the area of which we're so fortunate to be a part."

In addition to the special guest, the Breakfast serves as the annual platform to announce the Toshiba Classic Scholarship Fund winners. Two deserving Orange County high school seniors will be awarded $10,000 scholarships and laptops courtesy of Toshiba America Information Systems. Through the Toshiba Classic Scholarship Fund, grants totaling more than $269,000 in scholarships and over $500,000 in laptops have been given to graduating seniors.

Breakfast tables can be purchased for $1,250 and seat 10. Limited number of individual seats are available for $120 (minimum purchase of 2).  Please contact the Tournament Office at (949) 660-1001 to reserve your table.
