Volunteer Committee Descriptions
TOSHIBA CLASSIC VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
The committees marked with a * would also appreciate your help on days preceding and following tournament week, in addition to the days indicated in parenthesis.
OPERATIONS COMMITTEES
- Admissions/Ticket Sales: Take tickets at gate
and sell tickets to patrons on-site (Mon. thru Sun.)
- Course Marshal: Maintain spectator control on
the golf course. (Mon. thru Mon.)
- Course Repair: Repair fairway divots, green
divots and other course imperfections prior to play each day of the
Pro-Am's, practice rounds and tournament play. (Mon. thru
Mon.)
- Course Services*: Distribute
refreshments to tees, starters and scoring tents. Distribute
pairing guides and other information throughout the course.

- Ecology: Assist with course beautification and recycling programs. (Mon. thru Mon.)
- Expo Experience: Interact with spectators as
they visit the Expo area of the tournament. Help to
coordinate any data entry and/or facilitate contests as deemed by
sponsor participation. (Fri- Sun)
- Facilities*: Assist in overall set-up of
facility and aid operations staff with tasks throughout tournament
week. Must be in good physical condition. (Mon. thru Mon.)
- Info Booth: Manage and operate the Information
Booth throughout tournament week. Assist patrons with
questions, lost and found and any other needs. (Mon. thru
Sun.)
- Pro-Am Committees: Assist in registration of amateur players, bag handling, cart management, gift distribution and various other duties required to successfully operate the events. (Mon., Wed., Thurs. and Mon.)
- Pro-Am Shuttle Drivers: Shuttle Pro-Am players from the Marriott to the registration tent throughout the Classic Pro-Am. MUST be able to work both Wednesday and Thursday. Three shifts to accommodate all players, 5:00-10:00 a.m., 9:30a.m. - 3:30 p.m., 3:00- 7:30 p.m. Please indicate which shift you are able to work in the comments section of the application. Carts will be provided by the tournament. (Wed. & Thurs.)
- Radios*: Responsible for the
inventory, organization, charging, distribution and collection of
radios throughout the tournament. (Fri. thru Tues.)
- Tournament Runners: Fill in where necessary
from assisting with special events throughout the week, helping
with registration at Pro-Ams or delivering goodie bags, as deemed
necessary. (Mon. thru Mon.)
- Transportation*: Assist with transportation of
players and sponsors to and from airport, as well as other
deliveries and errands. (Tournament cars provided.) (Mon. thru
Tues. 3/20)
- Volunteer Hospitality: Help provide food and
beverage hospitality for volunteers. Help in execution of volunteer
appreciation party. (Mon. thru Mon. 3/19)
- Volunteer Uniforms*: Assist with the set-up
and distribution of uniforms prior to and during tournament
week. (3/2 - 3/18)
- Will Call: Distribute prepackaged tickets/credentials left by players, sponsors and patrons throughout tournament week. This is an off-site position. (Mon. thru Sun.)
SCORING COMMITTEES
- Walking Scorer: Walk with player groups and
record their scores and statistics on a hand held computer or paper
scorecard. Golf knowledge is important. Must be in good physical
condition. To be awarded a walking scorer position on Friday,
Saturday or Sunday, volunteers must work Wednesday and/or Thursday.

- Standard Bearer: Carry a scoreboard that
indicates the individual scores of the players within your group.
Must be in good physical condition. (Fri. thru Sun.)
- Leaderboards: Receive scores via radio and post scores on large leaderboards located throughout the golf course. (Wed. thru Sun.)
