OPERATIONS COMMITTEES

 Admissions/Ticket Sales

  • This committee is responsible for selling tournament tickets and checking for proper tickets/credentials at admissions gate. Other responsibilities include greeting spectators and passing out pairing guides. Volunteers needed Wednesday (10/28) – Sunday (11/1).

 Course Marshal

  • Marshals are responsible for making sure that play proceeds smoothly by assisting with crowd and noise control. Other responsibilities include locating errant golf shots and assisting with the evacuation of players on inclement weather days. This committee is the largest group of volunteers and Marshals are stationed at all holes and practice areas on the course. Volunteers needed Monday (10/26) and Wednesday (10/28) – Monday (11/2).

 Course Services

  • Act as a delivery service for the entire tournament, except food and beverage contractors.  Accept, log, store and deliver all incoming deliveries for sponsors, tournament management and PGA Tour players. Distribute programs and pairing guides to all necessary locations each day of the tournament. Volunteers needed Monday (10/26) – Monday (11/2).  

 Expo Experience

  • Responsible for interacting with spectators as they visit the Expo area of the tournament, and assisting sponsors with set up, deliveries and other needs. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating contests and helping with data entry as necessary for special promotions. Volunteers needed Friday (11/30) – Sunday (11/1).

 Information Booth

  • This committee is responsible for operating the info booth on site throughout tournament week and assisting spectators with their on-site experience. Volunteers will provide general information, answer questions, direct spectators and manage the lost and found. Volunteers needed Monday (10/26) – Sunday (11/1).  

 On-Course Food & Beverage

  • This committee helps provide food and beverage for various functions throughout the tournament, including volunteer hospitality, Pro-Ams and other small special events.  Other duties include distributing refreshments/beverages to tees each day of the tournament. This committee does NOT handle public concession stands or catering areas.  Volunteers needed Sunday (10/25) – Monday (11/2).  

 Pro-Am

  • This committee is responsible for registering amateur players, gift distribution, organizing golf bags and managing carts. Volunteers needed Sunday (10/25), Monday (10/26), Wednesday (10/28), Thursday (10/29) and Monday (11/2).  

 Transportation

  • The transportation committee assists with the pick up/drop off of players and sponsors between approved hotels, airports and other special cases as needed. Tournament vehicles are provided and a valid driver’s license is required. Volunteers needed Monday (10/26) – Tuesday (11/2).

 Volunteer Uniforms

  • Distribute volunteer uniforms prior to and during the tournament week. Other duties include organizing uniforms and answering questions as needed. Volunteers needed Saturday (10/24) – Monday 11/2, plus the weekend of 10/17 & 18)

 Will Call

  • Responsible for distributing prepackaged tickets/credentials left by players, sponsors and patrons during the tournament. This position is both on and off site. Volunteers needed Monday (10/26) – Sunday (11/1).  

 

SCORING COMMITTEES

Walking Scorer

  • Walk with assigned group of players during Pro-Am and Tournament rounds, enter scores and statistical information into a hand-held device or paper scorecard. To be awarded a walking scorer position on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, volunteers must work Wednesday and/or Thursday. Volunteers needed Wednesday (10/28) – Sunday (11/1).  

 Standard Bearer

  • Carry a scoreboard that displays the individual scores in your group. Must be in good physical condition. Volunteers needed Friday (10/30) – Sunday (11/1).

 Leaderboards

  • Post golf scores on leaderboards using information provided via radio. Leaderboards are located throughout the golf course. Volunteers needed Wednesday (10/28) – Sunday (11/1).
